David Allen Arnold

August 13, 1942 — February 28, 2024

David Arnold, 81, passed away at his home in Delta, Colorado on February 28, 2024. David was
born August 13, 1942 to Bill and Merle Arnold. He was the 4th of their 6 children: Donald,
Wanda, Peggy, David, Dan and Susan. David served in the Marines during the Vietnam War.
Although Dave did not have any children of his own, he was a fantastic Uncle to his numerous
nieces and nephews. He was there to cheer at their sporting events, celebrate special events,
play games or watch a Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies or Avalanche game together. Dave would
get to know their friends, many who adopted him, also calling him Uncle David. Dave liked to
travel and loved snowmobiling.
Dave graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Colorado. He earned a degree in
accounting and went on to work for the Federal Government until his retirement. Dave retired to
Grand Lake, Colorado and the mountains he loved.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters - Peggy and Susan and his brother,
Dan. A graveside memorial will be held on April 29, 2024 at 1:00pm at Veterans Memorial
Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction, Colorado.
