Jack Bell went to his eternal home in the loving arms of God and Jesus Christ on July 27, 2023. He was
surrounded by family including his daughter Brenda and son Jack during the last hours of life here on
earth and is now with family in heaven who have ascended before him.
Jack was born December 9, 1938, in Panama, OK. He was the 4 th of 7 children to George Edward Bell and
Rose Alma (Farmer) Bell.
The family moved from Oklahoma to the Oak Creek, CO area and later to the Palisade and Clifton area
where Jack spent his childhood. Jack graduated from Central High School in 1957 right around the time
the family moved to Mesa, CO.
Jack met and married Frances Claudette Hardrick in 1959 (later divorced). They had four children. Twins
Bill and Phil Bell in early 1960, who were born prematurely and died as infants. Brenda Kay Neptune in
1961 and Jack Duane Bell in 1964.
Jack was the perfect name for a man who was truly a Jack of all trades. He was given the nickname
Jackson by son Jack Duane. Jack worked numerous Mining, Construction, Carpentry and Electrician jobs
until beginning work for Coors Porcelain in Grand Junction as a Maintenance Technician. Jack worked
for Coors Porcelain for 18 years until he retired. In retirement, Jack built homes including one home for
daughter Brenda and two homes for son Jack Duane. Brenda and Jack Duane each still live in homes
Jack helped build over 20 years ago.
While at Coors, Jack met Judy Graham and although never married, spent many years together and were
still close to this day. Jack was like a father to Judy’s son, Mike.
Jack had numerous interests. Perhaps none more important than a thirst to know Jesus and study God’s
word. Jack wasn’t afraid to witness to family, friends, and strangers about his Faith. Jack was also a
lifelong adventurer, always wanting to travel to new destinations and explore new wonders of God’s
creation. Just this past 6 months, Jack saw the Grand Canyon, Goblin Valley, Couer d’Alene and Lake
Pend Oreille, ID, Hungry Horse Dam in Montana and Glacier National Park.
It was at the end of this Montana adventure that Jack lost his balance and eventually succumbed to the
injuries caused by the fall. He passed painlessly and peacefully in Kalispell, MT.
Jack is survived by sister Barbara Sangosti (John), brother Robert (Bob), brother John Wayne, Frances
(Hardrick) Fritz, daughter Brenda Neptune (Brad), son Jack Duane Bell (Melva), six grandchildren Elena
(Bell) Apostolova (Daniel), Jack Jr Bell (Sarah), Joseph Bell (Rani), Braden Neptune (Lauren), Cameron
Neptune, Kelsey (Neptune) Schuetz (Trevor) and 11 great grandchildren Gabriella, Eli, Leon, Victoria,
Josiah, Ezra, Micah, Veronica, Claire, Jayce and Ryan Jo.
