Jacqueline J. (Davis) Hansen, a spirited soul who spread joy wherever she went, took her final bow on February 11, 2025, at the ripe age of 92. Born on June 7, 1932, she spent her days brightening the lives of those around her, whether as a devoted chaplain at St. Mary's Hospital or simply by cracking a joke that would leave you in stitches.
Jacqueline was truly a social butterfly within her community, making new friends, and sharing laughter. Her weekends were reserved for birding, where one could often find her amidst nature, binoculars in hand and wearing her signature smile.
Her family, and let’s not forget her wonderful array of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her pride and joy. Jacqueline is survived by her loving daughters Laura and Linda, and her adoring son Charles. She was equally thrilled to have her grandsons Clay and Michael (Kelli) in her life, as well as her delightful great-granddaughter Aurora and the charming little Finn. They will all cherish the many stories and laughter-filled moments they shared with her—whether they were skiing down snowy hills, fishing at the lake, or hiking scenic trails together.
Jacqueline gave love freely, dedicating her life to making the world a kinder and more humorous place. With a big heart and an even bigger library, her love for reading kept her imagination soaring as high as those birds she loved to watch every weekend.
She has now reunited in the great beyond with her beloved husband Lawrence "Red" Hansen and her brother Raymond, where we imagine them sharing jokes and, of course, some good books.
Jacqueline J Hansen leaves behind a legacy of light-heartedness, kindness, and a profound ability to make every moment count—qualities we should all aspire to carry forward. May we each honor her memory by cracking a joke, enjoying the great outdoors, and cherishing the time we have with our loved ones. Rest easy, dear Jacqueline; you have certainly earned your wings!
