John A. Perrin

June 13, 1943 — March 26, 2025

John Wesley Perrin passed into the arms of his heavenly Father on March 26, 2025. He was born in Monticello, Minnesota to Vera and Joseph Perrin on June 13, 1943.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandparents on their farm. He was tightly bonded with his grandfather who taught him how to fish and hunt. John loved all animals. His face would light up like a childs when watching or playing with dogs. He joined the US Army in 1961 and did his training in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He was assigned to MAG in Saigon. John was an Aircraft Engine Mechanic and flew reconnaissance missions. He did a variety of jobs before landing in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1979.

He stayed at the old St. Regis Hotel and went to work in tire sales. He loved football,(VIKINGS) fishing and camping. He is survived by the love of the rest of his life, Zoanne Wilcox and their 107 lb baby girl dog George. John was quiet, loving and protective over all he cared about. His circle was small and you were indeed a very special person if you were part of it. He had quite the sense of humor and you just never knew if he was paying attention until he would make one of those remarks that had everyone in stitches. John enjoyed “plinking” in the desert, and also was an avid online solitaire player.

Cremation has taken place and there are no services.

We are forever thankful for the love and kindness he received from HopeWest both through the PACE program and Hospice.
