Joshua Alexander Snyder

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joshua Alexander Snyder, who left this world on December 3, 2024, at the age of 41. Born on October 17, 1983, Josh dedicated much of his life to his career in the oilfield, where he was proud to be a roughneck. With an incredible work ethic that never went unnoticed, he found great pride in providing for his family, earning the heartfelt admiration and love of his work family.

Josh's life was characterized by love and devotion to his family. He was the best husband to Rebecca Snyder and a loving father to their daughters, McKayla, Kielea, Paityn, and Alyvea Snyder. His role as a husband and father was his paramount achievement, and his success was measured in the happiness and well-being of his loved ones. Josh was truly the ultimate "Girl Dad," always engaging in activities that brought joy to his daughters, from bike rides and paddleboarding to father-daughter dances and bowling.

Beyond his family life, Josh had a vibrant personality full of kindness, support, and love. He had an innate ability to bond with others, whether it was through wrestling with his nephews, teaching lifelong lessons to the girls in his life, or simply playing the guitar and sharing songs during family gatherings. His adventurous spirit led him to relish moments spent outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, or enjoying any adventure that came his way. He was one in a million, a genuinely beloved individual who would give anything to help those in need.

Josh leaves behind a cherished family that includes his mother Angela Snyder, father Frank Chonoles, and siblings Alanda Snyder, Elizabeth Curran, Jacob Chonoles, Tsivia Chonoles, and Daerby White. He is also remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and an endless number of friends whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Linda Harrell, Robert Chonoles, and Carole Chonoles. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on December 11, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Church located at 765 24 Road, Grand Junction, Colorado, 81505. 

Joshua Alexander Snyder will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on in thehearts of all who knew and loved him.
