Lillian Etcheverry passed away January 27, 2025 at her home in Collbran, CO, at the age of 88. She was born in Vernal, Utah to the parents of Wilson and Lola Stoner. She was the oldest of four daughters; sister Gloria and sisters Janesse and Janette. Lillian spent her early years in Utah. She married Larry Hayes on April 23, 1952. They had four daughters; Billie, Lily, Willie, and Lola and raised them in the Grand Valley.
Lillian worked for the School District 51 and Colorado Department of Energy with a reputation for being an extremely hard worker.
Sewing, crafting, growing anything, fishing, and camping were among her many interests, she was a resourceful woman. Lillian loved the Native American culture and turquoise jewelry.
Lillian married Martin Etcheverry on December 28, 2000 and gained the love of four sons; Martin, Orvan, Allen, Marlin and four daughters; Valerie, Monica, Michelle and Marla. Lillian and Martin moved to Collbran, CO and ran their ranch for the rest of her life. She appreciated all animals. She loved the community and welcomed everyone in for a cup of coffee or to watch a football game with them.
Lillian is survived by her dedicated and beloved husband Martin, sisters, daughters and sons, son in-laws, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Gloria, daughters Billie and Lola, and son Marlin. She was all about family and held them close to her heart.
