Linda J. Kirk

Linda J. (Butner) Kirk passed away unexpectedly in a tragic accident Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the age of 69. She was born in Grand Junction, CO December 6, 1953 to Jim and Nellie Butner.

Linda graduated from Central High School in 1972. While she was attending Mesa College she met Danny L. Kirk-the love of her life. They were married on March 16, 1974. From this union two children-Joseph and Amanda were born.

Linda wrote and published a book and decorated cakes. She loved flowers, horses and Ford Mustangs. Linda and Dan ran Ford Construction for 20 years. After retiring, she and Dan (along with other family members) spent as much time as they could at their place in Arrowhead-riding ATV's and enjoying the beauty of nature. Linda loved watching the hummingbirds, the chipmunks, the deer and other critters. It was truly her happy spot on earth!

Linda is survived by her husband Dan, son Joseph (Twilla) Kirk, daughter Amanda (Colt) Decker, sister Eleanor (Mel) Muhr, 3 grandchildren and her best friend since second grade, Kathy Ericson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Virginia and brother Charles.

Linda was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at Fellowship Church 765-24 Rd. Grand Junction, CO on Thursday July 20th at 11:00 am
