Linda Lee Propernick, born on May 1, 1938, in Gilman Colorado, passed away on July 6, 2024, in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend to many who felt her kindness and compassion.
Linda had a diverse career that included a devoted mother, working at Serv-U-Shop, Vail Resorts - Beaver Creek ticket office, and even serving as a lifeguard and carhop at Top Hat Drive-In. Her dedication to her work was evident in the way she interacted with others and always went above and beyond to help those around her.
One of Linda's greatest joys in life was being there for her family and friends. She created countless happy memories with them through picnics, jeep rides, fishing excursions, camping trips, boat rides, travels to new places, swimming adventures, wading in the creek, she always had a book she was reading close at had, and many more. Her presence brought warmth and joy to every gathering.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed hobbies such as swimming, sewing, picnicking, camping, hiking, traveling to new destinations, wading in water bodies, but most of all she cherished reading. Her love for literature allowed her to explore different worlds and escape into stories that captured her imagination.
Linda's personality was marked by her huge heart and unwavering support for her family. She prioritized family above all else and was known for her honesty, resilience, and constant support for those she held dear. Her 52 years of marriage with Frank "Dugan" Propernick resulted in a loving home filled with warmth and laughter.
Linda is survived by her children Joe (Sharon) Propernick and Ron (Sue Vandenberger) Propernick; daughter Sandy Warder; brother-in-law Eldon Jenkins, sister-in-laws Shannon Jenkins, Nikki Jenkins, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and countless friends.
She is is preceded in death by, husband Dugan, daughter Shawna, brother Herb (Arnetta) Eaton; sister Brenda (Alan) Nunn; nephew Mike Eaton; niece Tiffeny Eaton; father Dennie and (Lucille) Eaton mother Mary (Thorpe) Fenner, additionally with everyone she knew.
May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy of kindness and generosity lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Celebration of Linda's legacy will be July 12, 2024 at 11:00am at the Canyon View Vineyard Church, Grand Junction. The celebration in Eagle will be at a later date.
