Max Martinez, a hardworking construction owner, superintendent, and concrete connoisseur, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Grand Junction, CO. He was born on January 16, 1947, in Dixon, New Mexico.
Max was not just a man of many trades but a legend of legends in the hearts of those who knew him. His dedication to his work was evident in everything he did, leaving a lasting impact on all those around him. Max's career achievements reflected his commitment to excellence and craftsmanship.
Away from work, Max found his greatest joy in being a father and grandpa. His memories will be cherished by his loved ones forever. Max had a wide array of hobbies and interests that brought him immense happiness - from his love for racing stock cars to being a pool shark and enjoying golf. He also had a deep affinity for GJHS wrestling and football, fishing trips to Granby's, music, with a focal point on The Beatles, and cheering on "Da Bears"
Max is survived by his six children: Robin, Max, Casey, Nick, Bear, Andrew; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Erna and Nancy; along with numerous others who regarded him as their dad and grandpa due to the support and care he showered upon them.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Caroline, his siblings Johnny and Angela, grandson Cody and great-grandson Luciano.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 19, 2024 at Orchard Mesa Baptist Church in Grand Junction. It will be a time to honor the remarkable life of Max Martinez and the legacy he leaves behind.
In our hearts and memories, Max will forever remain an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of many with his kindness, hard work ethic, and unwavering love for his family. May he rest in peace knowing that he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
