Richard Neil Colescott

On September 27, 2022 a beloved husband, father and grandfather gained his wings. Richard passed peacefully at his home with family by his side. He was 71 years old and had been battling dementia and prostate cancer for several years. Richard was a Grand Junction native born April 28, 1951 to Richard William and Bairdell Lois Colescott. He was married to his highschool sweetheart, Sharon Joslin-Colescott on August 26, 1968. They had just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary.

Richard is survived by his wife Sharon Colescott, his oldest daughter LaDawn & Son-in-law Vince Stewart, His youngest daughter Richelle Colescott, two grand daughters Jesseka James-Koehler and Kindra Stewart-King and one great grand daughter Kyla Koehler, two sisters, Peggy Chambers and Verla Crowley, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Richard worked as a Route salesman at Holsum Bakery for many years and was a Service Tech with Filter Fresh Coffee several more years until he retired in 2013.

In addition to his family , he loved riding his Harleys with his wife and friends to lots of fun destinations.

A Celebration of Life is to be announced in the Spring of 2023.
