It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Archuleta, who left us on August 19, 2024, at the age of 69. Jean was a beloved mother, sibling, wife, and so much more. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jean was born on November 6th, 1954, in San Luis, Colorado, to parents Joe and Cordelia Duran. She then met her husband, Delbert Archuleta who both created a beautiful family that sprouted, as she eventually welcomed her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews into her life, and the rest became history. Jean lived a full life, filled with love, laughter, and a passion for her family, music, and life itself. From all things big to small, she truly found joy in everything that life gave her; she was simply grateful. Jean loved to spend time with her family, fishing, camping, beading, knitting, shopping, road trips across Colorado with her grandchildren and husband, and even simply watching movies. Jean loved to spend holidays, birthdays, and any life celebrations with family, as it brought her so much joy to be close to her loved ones in all ways possible. Jean truly dedicated her life to her family; her family was her world.
Jean is survived by Delbert Archuleta and her children, Scott Archuleta, Stephanie Archuleta, and Travis Archuleta. Grandchildren Jacob Archuleta, Jasmine Archuleta, Olivia Chavez, Xavier Clarke, Mya Archuleta, and Malia Archuleta.Sisters Ruby Burke, Milderd Crowley, Brenda Fallon, Judy Peters, Annette Ortivez, and mother Cordelia Duran, along with numerous friends and loved ones who were touched by her kindness and generosity. She is preceded in death by Joe Duran and brother Jim Duran. A memorial service will be held on September 14th at St. Joseph's Cathlolic Church. We invite all who knew Jean to join us in celebrating her remarkable life.
