Thomas Lee Stogsdill Thomas Lee Stogsdill, 60, passed away leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories. While his departure brings deep sorrow, we choose to celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on those around him.
Born on October 6, 1962, in Ft. Scott, Kansas, Tom was a spirited individual with a zest for life. He approached every day with a sense of adventure and a mischievous twinkle in his eye. His outlaw personality captivated those around him. He had a knack for making others laugh with his quick wit, and playful jokes.
As a father, Tom was a unique blend of love and tough love. He instilled in his children, David, Kimberly, and Stephanie, a sense of resilience and independence. His steadfast presence and occasional gruff exterior concealed a heart that overflowed with love for his family.
Tom pursued a diverse range of interests throughout his life. Whether it was tinkering with cars or exploring the great outdoors, he approached each endeavor with curiosity and determination. His passion for life's simple pleasures serves as a reminder to embrace the joys that surround us.
Professionally, Tom admirably followed in his father's footsteps, forging a successful career in welding during his formative years, where not only excelled but also served as an inspiration to others. Subsequently, he discovered a new passion as a tow truck operator as Ol Red's Towing, leading him to develop a deep affection for Crested Butte, CO.
Tom is survived by his three children, David Stogsdill, Kimberly Rowe, and Stephanie Stogsdill, grandchildren Kaila Stogsdill, Sydney Navin, Taylor Stogsdill, Conrad Stogsdill, Hadlee Rowe, and Teagan Dolan, and siblings Steven & Russell Stogsdill. All will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who were touched by his outlaw personality and genuine spirit.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Tom's life on August 10, 2023 from 5-8pm at the VFW located at 1404 Ute Ave GJ, CO to share stories that capture the essence of who he was. As we bid farewell to Tom, let us remember the laughter he brought into our lives, the lessons he imparted, and the memories that we will forever hold near. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on through the lives he touched. Rest in peace, Outlaw.
