Trenton "Trent" Carl Umberger

Trenton "Trent" Carl Umberger, a perfect husband, father, son, brother and friend, left this world September 4, 2024, in Palisade, Colorado, at the age of 43. Born on June 4, 1981, in Grand Junction, he was known as a man with the biggest heart and an even bigger smile.

For those who knew Trent, they could attest that he gave the best hugs – you could feel the warmth emanate from those blue eyes that twinkled with kindness and love. He was a person who thrived on adventure and shared his zest for life with everyone around him. Whether taking his children on thrilling escapades, enjoying concerts with his wife or cheering for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs during football season, he brought joy and laughter to every moment.

Trent was very proud of his career, as he truly loved plowing Vail Pass, making the roads safer and easier for all. His talent didn't go unnoticed; he achieved top honors at the CDOT Rodeo for running heavy equipment, earning a trip to Estes Park that made him beam with pride.

A proud graduate of Central High School in Grand Junction, Trent also earned a Certification in Automotive Technology from U-Tech. He was a provider, a loving husband to his dear wife Kristine, and a devoted father to his children, Wyatt, Azilynn, Nathan, Arayah, and Aubree. Nothing made him more proud than his family, the love for which was evident in everything he did.

Beyond work and family, Trent had a variety of hobbies that kept his spirit alive – drag racing, spending time near the water, and jamming to his favorite music. He was always the life of the party, capable of lifting anyone’s spirits with his infectious enthusiasm.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, children, father Sherman, mother Sandra, along with his siblings, Janelle, Troy, and Steven, as well as many other family members and dear friends who will carry his memory forward. Trent joins his late grandfathers, Chip "PeeWee" and Carl and his grandmother, Mary, in heaven.

Please join family and friends as they gather for a Celebration of Life on September 11, 2024, from 1 PM to 3 PM at Orchard River View in Palisade, CO. Let’s share stories, laughter, and remembrances that reflect the vibrant life of Trent, who taught us all how to love fiercely and live boldly.
