William "Sully" Sullivain

William Joseph Sullivan, affectionately known as "Sully", Bill, or Billy, passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 52 in Silt, Colorado. He was born on September 5, 1972, in Glens Falls, New York, and quickly grew to become a beloved figure to all who knew him.

A proud Wildcat from West Genesee High School and a graduate of Cornell University from 1990 to 1994, William was not only an accomplished Microbiology major but also a football player during his time there. He truly embodied the spirit of Cornell, Go Big Red. His dedication to his studies earned him the Niagara Mohawk Power Scholarship, evidencing his commitment to excellence in education.

In 1995, Bill relocated to Aspen, Colorado, where he continued to forge lasting connections within the community. Described by many as a great friend, larger than life, a free spirit with a generous heart, making friends wherever he went. His personality shone like no other; William was often dubbed the "best man ever" due to his kindness and ability to bring joy to others.

In 2010, Bill founded Sullivan Water, a venture that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his customers. Living life to the fullest, he approached every aspect of his career with enthusiasm and vigor that inspired those around him.

Bill had a profound love for music, often immersing himself in the sounds of his favorite bands such as Gov’t Mule, Yes, the Grateful Dead, and Widespread Panic. As a passionate sports enthusiast, he proudly claimed his place in the Buffalo Bills Mafia, exhibited his skill as the Fantasy Football King, and he loved playing basketball. He cherished coaching lacrosse in Steamboat Springs, a proud accomplishment that highlighted his dedication to nurturing the youth.

He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Ricci Sullivan; his mother, Nancy Sullivan; his sister, Erin Parks; his nephews, Cole Parks and Spencer Bickling; and his niece, Whitney Parks. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph William Sullivan.

William Joseph Sullivan’s legacy is one of friendship, fun, and adventure. He will be missed dearly, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.

Celebration of Life on February 8, 2025 at the Hoffmann Hotel, from 2:30pm-5:30pm, 30 Kodiak Dr, Basalt CO 81621. Memorial in his hometown, Syracuse NY, will take place at a date to be determined.
